Clare joined us in August 1992, from the stockbrokers Torrie & Co. Clare left Glasgow University with a law degree and not wishing to do the obvious, became a chartered accountant She qualified in 1974 and after a number of years, decided to broaden her horizons and branched out into a second very successful career as a financial services consultant with Save & Prosper.
In 1991 she moved to the stockbrokers, Torrie & Co, to offer financial services advice to their clients and a year later when Torrie & Co decided to close that department, she transferred by mutual agreement to Johnston Financial to continue providing those services. She is now an Appointed Representative of Johnston Financial, trading as Clare R Giles Ltd. However, Clare continues to integrate closely with the firm.
Clare is a highly experienced financial planner and as you would expect, her knowledge and experience as a C.A. adds considerably to the range of specialist expertise within the firm. Clare holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate.
